As surfers and nature lovers, we have been commited, from the get go, to lead with sustainable practices. Ultimately our planet is a fragile ecosystem and it is our duty to protect and cherish it as much as we can. We are passionate about bringing sustainable solutions to the resort and are proud to share our achievements with our guests every step of the way :
Here’s what we have achieved over the years:
– Sustainable waste management : we recycle our garbage as much as possible and create compost from the kitchen scraps.
– We have spent years growing a permaculture garden and enriching the soil to supply fresh vegetables to our chef ’s kitchen
– We refuse to serve drinks in plastic containers. Our guests are encouraged to come with reusable water bottles. You can top them up throughout the resort in our fresh water dispensers.
– We use solar energy to heat the water in your rooms
– Buying local as much as possible is part of the solution: we use as much locally grown produce as we can.
– Providing eco-friendly toileteries and rechargeable bottles to avoid creating plastic waste.
If you are planning a visit to Scar Reef Resort, we kindly ask you to bring reef-friendly sunscreen if you can.

– Surf Yogis : you can find this eco-friendly brand, made of 100% natural ingredients in most shops in Bali. The zinc is amazing and super waterproof!
